You can use the following payment methods to make a purchase in our online store: payment on delivery (by cash or card), by a debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, Maestro*) or by PayPal.

*If you pay by Maestro debit card, make sure you first activate it for online shopping (you can do that in the bank that issued your card).

Payment on delivery

If you choose payment on delivery, you will pay for your order by cash or card to the courier that delivers your package (keep in mind that in this case the highest order value is €500).

Payment by debit or credit card

When paying, make sure you go through the whole payment process in the same window. Do not open a new tab, window or a different browser. If you do not do so, an error might occur and you might not finish the payment process successfully.

If the card was declined, check:
- the card’s expiration date (the card might have expired),
- if you have exceeded your authorized spending limit (the payment might be larger than the maximum transaction allowed for your account),
- if you have entered all the information correctly and filled in all the required fields,
- that your card supports 3D Secure protocol.*

*In our online store we use the international security standard 3D Secure, which adds an additional level of payment protection to an online transaction. In order to complete an online purchase, the cardholder is asked to provide proof of identity by entering a unique password or an SMS code. If your card does not support the 3D Secure standard, you will not be able to place an order in our online store. If you do not know if your card supports the 3D Secure standard, please contact our customer service by calling 0800 45 46 (from Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 16:00) or get in touch with the bank that your card was issued by. If your card does not support the 3D Secure protocol, we advise you to pay by cash or card on delivery.

To ensure card payment security, all the data on the card is encrypted. All payments are done in accordance with The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PSI DSS).

After you pay for your order, we will send you the invoice by e-mail. The list of ordered items will be enclosed in your package.

At Emporium.eu/hr we are committed to offering you a safe and secure shopping experience. Therefore, we use different advanced and sophisticated technologies and standards to protect your personal and financial details:

PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)

PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is an information security standard of international payment systems (American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, Mastercard and Visa). It offers data protection and protects cardholders against misuse of their personal information. The security standard PCI DSS is a collection of tools and measures for safe treatment of sensitive information with card payment. Originally, PSI DSS was formed by aligning Visa and Mastercard security policies and card schemes. Today, however, it specifies requirements for the development of robust and safe card payment and includes measures for preventing safety incidents with card payments, as well as discovering and reacting to them accordingly.

TLS (Transport Layer Security) technology

In our online store we also use modern TLS encryption. With the use of TLS, your personal information is encrypted on our servers.

Before you submit your personal financial information, look at the URL (location line) of your browser to make sure you have accessed a secure server. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from "http" to "https".

Saferpay

For debit card payments we cooperate with the process center SixPay, which offers the payment center Saferpay. Saferpay uses topmost security standards; it is user friendly and offers a nice, safe and simple user experience.

Fraud prevention

We take certain measures to detect and prevent fraud. As part of these measures, we may call you to verify your order details and identity.

For increased security and to prevent potential fraud, we have introduced a change to our payment options. For orders over €500 payment on delivery is unfortunately no longer possible. However, we continue to offer various safe and easy payment methods, such as payment by debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, Maestro) or payment via PayPal.

What more can you do to stay safe online?

When you are using a public (library or internet cafe) or shared computer, we advise you to always log out of our online store before leaving it. In order to prevent fraud, also make sure to close the browser.
